Item Description

A large and finely carved, early Kundu drum, Papua New Guinea, c. 1920. Heavy use and wear, with beautiful patina; in the United States since the early 40’s, but the drum is believed to be earlier Probably lower East Sepik.

Wood with snake or lizard skin drum head cover (original cover) 26” long small inscription that reads “KAV”
